This policy covers velocitylogisticsfreight.com and the quotes, shipments and job applications that come through it. Velocity Logistics LLC ("Velocity", "we") is a motor carrier based in Indianapolis, Indiana (USDOT 4494211, MC 1777008). Questions or requests: [email protected] or (317) 934-4366.

What we collect

What you send with a quote request: your name, email and phone number, the vehicles, the pickup and delivery addresses and dates, and your answers to the form's consent boxes, with the exact wording you agreed to and when.
How the request reached us: the page you started on, the site that sent you there, the campaign tags on the link (utm_source and the like), and whether the link came from a Google, Microsoft or Facebook ad. We keep which ad network it was, never the click ID itself. See the cookie policy.
A device class (phone, tablet or desktop), read from your browser and not kept beyond that word.
A driver application: what you enter on the careers form, such as your name, contact details, licence and driving experience.
Calls, emails and texts you exchange with dispatch about your shipment.
Only if you accept cookies: anonymous visit analytics (pages viewed, time on page, which buttons were tapped, and your city and state from your internet address) and Google advertising measurement. See the cookie policy.

How we use it

To price your shipment, send your quote and answer your questions.
To haul your vehicle: scheduling pickup and delivery, and sending shipment updates.
To take payment, through our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
To review driver applications and contact applicants.
To see which ads, searches and pages bring customers, so we spend less on the ones that don't.
To keep the records a motor carrier must keep, and to prevent fraud and abuse of our forms.

Texts

We text you only if you ticked the box that says so, at the number you gave, about your quote and shipment. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to stop and HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of any purchase. We do not share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Who we share it with

When our own trucks can't cover your date or route, a licensed broker partner arranges a vetted carrier, and they get what the job needs: your name, phone, the addresses, the vehicles and the dates.
Service providers who work for us: Loadful, the quote, dispatch and customer software that runs our quote form and sends our emails and texts; our email provider; our website host; our payment processor; and, only if you accept cookies, Google for advertising measurement. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
When the law requires it, or to protect our customers, drivers or business from fraud.

We do not sell your personal information. Without your OK on the cookie banner, we do not let advertising partners collect information about your visit.

How long we keep it

A quote request is kept while it is open and for as long as we may need it to answer you or quote you again. Shipment records are kept as long as federal and tax rules require, and longer if a claim or dispute is open. Driver applications are kept as long as hiring rules require. Analytics records are kept no longer than they are useful for those reports.

Your choices and rights

Cookies: decline them on the banner, or change your answer at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. A browser that sends Global Privacy Control is treated as having declined.
Texts and emails: reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
Access, correction and deletion: email [email protected] to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We keep what the law requires us to keep and tell you what that is. Depending on the state you live in, you may have further rights, including to appeal a decision we make on your request; ask us the same way. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Children

This site is for adults shipping vehicles or applying to drive. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

Information you send travels encrypted (HTTPS), and access to our customer records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell you before it applies.
