Is Velocity Logistics a carrier or a broker?
We're a direct carrier. Cars move on our own trucks with our own in-house drivers, dispatched from Indianapolis. The one exception is motorcycles and powersports: those loads are placed with hand-picked, vetted owner-operators from our carrier network — but you still book, pay, and communicate through Velocity from start to finish.
What's the difference between enclosed and open auto transport?
Enclosed transport uses a hard-sided trailer that fully shields your vehicle from weather and road debris — the right choice for luxury, classic, exotic, and other high-value cars. Open transport carries vehicles on an open multi-car trailer; it's the cost-effective standard for everyday vehicles. Either way, the same securement discipline and photo documentation apply.
Do you ship motorcycles, ATVs, and other powersports?
Yes. We move motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs and side-by-sides, dirt and track bikes, scooters, and dealer or auction units. Powersports loads run through our vetted network of insured owner-operators held to Velocity's standards, with Velocity as your single point of contact.

We're headquartered in Indianapolis and run door-to-door across the 48 contiguous states. Weekly dedicated lanes connect Indianapolis with Dallas, Houston, Chicago, New York, Phoenix, and Charlotte, with expedited and priority options when timing is tight.

Yes. Velocity Logistics is a fully insured, licensed motor carrier (USDOT 4494211, MC 1777008). Every move includes an inspection with photos at pickup and delivery and a digital bill of lading, so the vehicle's condition is documented end to end.
How does pickup and delivery work?
Door to door: we come to the driveway, the dealership, or the dock. We confirm a pickup window, the driver does a photo-documented walkaround at load-in, you get proactive status updates in transit, and delivery ends with a final walkaround and a digital bill of lading.
